How Might we
How might we design both a company and website that caters to the needs of both novice and experienced travelers of Itaewon?
I chose to design a landing page highlighting traveling in Itaewon, South Korea. The city’s known as a hotspot for travelers of diverse backgrounds and as with most cities, it offers much to do. However, the influx of numerous attractions and activities may overwhelm travelers, especially those who are visiting for the first time.
Additionally, some travelers may struggle to find a close-knit community specific to Itaewon where they can share their travel experiences with one another. With many different types of travelers that arrive to Itaewon, it may be a challenge to integrate their varying needs into a balanced platform.
This brainstorming technique helped me link central ideas to related ones without worrying about the structure or logic of the ideas; essentially, it was just letting my ideas flow.
I also developed multiple theoretical personas so that I could accommodate a diverse range of travelers. Each persona would have differing needs for the site.

Getting Started
Sketches
For three different screens: desktop, tablet, and phone.
Much had changed from the sketches to the low-fidelity wireframes. I revisited some of my initial ideas of the layout flow and found that having a more seamless flow without using multiple colors to establish divisions was more visually appealing. I also wanted to maximize the use of whitespace to emphasize the clean, individual sections.
The tablet screen had a drastic change compared to what it was before in the sketches. I wanted to follow the desktop's layout rather than giving the tablet its individual layout.

Not only did I have to design a landing page, but I also needed to create the branding for the travel site's company.
For the basis of the logo, I wanted to pay homage to the stamps that one may receive in their passport when visiting another country. I integrated the blocky yet simple lettering that such stamp may look like. Through logo creation, I also developed the name of the website: ITAE, a shortened version of Itaewon.
ITAE would market itself with a cool, fresh, minimal feel for travelers alike.
The high-fidelity mockups closely followed what the low-fidelity layouts had looked like.
